IT Security Consultant with GDPR responsibility - help us build security that actually works
Want to make security real in a company that’s constantly evolving — not just policies on paper?
You’ll get real responsibility and visibility across the Group — with close sparring, regular feedback, and room to grow your scope as you build confidence.
This role is for you if you want:
- Real influence (not just advisory decks)
- Responsibility from day one
- A chance to build and improve — not inherit something finished
Join our security journey — and help build what’s next
NDI Group A/S is a leading supplier in the Nordic tire industry, headquartered in Brørup with activities across the Nordics and Northern Germany. We continuously improve both technology and processes — and we want you to help keep security, compliance, and data protection at the center.
You’ll be the go-to person for information security and GDPR across the Group, working closely with management, business, IT operations, HR, Finance, and external partners.
A role with impact, growth, and room to experiment (responsibly)
This is not a “sit in a corner and write policies” job. You’ll mix strategy with hands-on execution, work closely with the business, and help teams succeed — not block them.
You’ll join an organization with an informal tone, short decision paths, and high professionalism. In this role you’ll mix strategy and execution across policies, awareness, risk, and incidents — turning security requirements into solutions that work in real life. The role reports to our Head of Digital and IT.
Your responsibilities will include
A core part of your role will be to drive and develop our IT security strategy — and make sure it’s actually adopted in everyday workflows as our technology and processes change.
More specifically, you will:
- Own and improve GDPR compliance — and be a trusted sparring partner on data protection across the business
- Build and embed security awareness and training that people actually understand and use
- Support colleagues with a pragmatic, down-to-earth approach — we’re aiming for secure solutions, not bureaucracy
- Track and communicate security and compliance maturity (KPIs, controls, SLAs) so progress is visible
- Take part in incident and breach handling, including coordination, documentation, and learnings that strengthen our processes
- Contribute to vendor management and ensure the right level of security in data processing agreements
- Stay ahead of threats, tech trends, and legislation — and help us adapt our controls and ways of working
To succeed in the role
You thrive with many stakeholders and enjoy building and improving while things evolve. You work structured, think in risk, and communicate security clearly to both IT and the business.
We imagine that you:
- have a relevant education in IT, information security, or similar — or strong practical experience and a willingness to keep learning
- have experience with IT security and GDPR/data protection (experience from a larger organization or group is a plus)
- can balance business needs with the security and compliance that protects people and data
- take ownership, work independently, and still enjoy teaming up and getting feedback along the way
- communicate clearly and can translate security into actions that make sense for different audiences
Danish is not a requirement, but understanding written and spoken Danish will be an advantage.
It is an advantage if you also have knowledge of ISO 27001 principles, Microsoft 365 security, or working in hybrid IT environments.
Why join NDI Group?
- You can actually influence how security is done — and see the outcome in practice
- You work close to the business, translating risk into decisions that move things forward
- You help build something meaningful as we evolve — and you grow with the role through continuous learning and increasing ownership
